Debut-CD of the Viennese Singer/pianist Stephanie Hacker
The new project of the young Viennese pianist, singer and composer Stephanie Hacker melts personal feelings with unaffected words and transparent music into a compilation of touching songs. The musician, educated in classical music and jazz, takes influences of these styles and mixes them with pop-sounds and modern grooves – and at the same time leaves much space for improvisation. But the main aspect of her music remains the song itself. In collaboration with the members of her band Andi Tausch (guit), Robert Jukic (b) and Christian Salfellner (dr) – all well-known in the national and international jazz-community – Stephanie Hacker concentrates her emotions onstage in her singing and piano playing.
Die junge, in Wien lebende Pianistin, Sängerin und Komponistin Stephanie Hacker lässt in ihrem neuen Projekt persönliche Gefühle in ungekünstelten Texten und transparenter Musik zu berührenden Songs verschmelzen. Die in Klassik und Jazz ausgebildete Musikerin nimmt Einflüsse aus ebendiesen Stilen, vermischt sie mit popigen Sounds und modernen Grooves und lässt dabei viel Platz für Improvisation. Im Vordergrund ihrer Musik steht jedoch immer der Song. Gemeinsam mit ihren Bandkollegen Andi Tausch (guit), Robert Jukic (b) und Christian Salfellner (dr) - fixen Größen der heimischen und internationalen Jazzszene - lässt sie mit ihrem unprätentiösen Gesang und ihrem versierten Klavierspiel ihren Emotionen auf der Bühne freien Lauf.
