Mor Roll

Songwriter, poet, guitar and keyboard player. Born on first of March 1980. , Mor Roll went to primary and secondary music school (played piano), parallel with the art school and gratuaded at the Art (sculptor) accademy in Rijeka. Influenced by contemporary music, he spent most of his young years playing keyboards and singing with rock bands all over the country and Europe when he finaly decided to quit with covers and make his own footsteps. His first demo was well accepted by some music scouts and he finaly found record label - Dancing bear records .His first more significant TV appearance come about croatian eurosong competition «DORA 2008.» with song «Ne razumijemo se»(„We don't understand each other“). Debi album «Gori svijet» is finally released in july 2009. year.
„Here comes sweet young man and new sex simbol from Pula!“, these are the words spoken by Ida Prester, faumost croatian master of ceremony of VIP MUSIC CLUB LP (Croatian national TV) which have announced the release of Mor Roll's first album „Gori svijet“ (The world is burning).
„We are the whitnesses of apperance of one mature and interesting author on croatian domestic scene. More reasons for believing in that assertion is Mor Roll's duet with Bane, guitar player and lead vocal of Songkillers, one of the most fameost funk groups in Croatia, inlayed on debi album „Gori svijet“. Present comparations of Mor Roll's character and work has described from Eros Ramazotti, Lenny Kravitz, Toše proeski, Tony Cetinski, Gibonni and Oliver Mandic..
„In 37 minutes duration of the material there is a sublimation of Mor Roll's poetry and music authority which has ripped for 29 years. It is amazing how many diversities and inversions offers almost every song, wherewith is ably avoided the trap of the klishe proposed by genre. From combustible „Gori svijet“, afterwards „Dama“ with ingenious guitar solos and melancoly trumphet, until wonderful acoustic mediterranian song „Kao more „(„Like the sea)“. Mor Roll doesnt'n have necessarity to be a lounge rock rebel or mellifluous pop performer. Mor Roll is mature author which has released productive pop rock album which, truly, stands alongside greatest domestic achievements in genre“, a part oft he rewiew written by Željko Marković, music critic and radio director.
